Nestled along the scenic Tagaytay - Nasugbu Highway, Amare La Cucina Tagaytay is a delightful Italian restaurant that brings the heart of Italy to the cool breezes and stunning vistas of Tagaytay City, Cavite. Known for its authentic flavors and warm ambiance, this spot has become a go-to destination for both locals and travelers craving a genuine Italian dining experience, all while enjoying breathtaking views of Taal Lake.
The menu is a celebration of classic Italian cuisine with a contemporary twist, featuring several must-try dishes that perfectly showcase the kitchen’s skill and passion. Start your meal with their standout Pollo Fritto Sharing, a best-seller dish featuring crispy fried deboned chicken thigh cutlets served with a refreshing lemon wedge and drizzled with their signature amare garlic yogurt sauce. The golden, crunchy exterior paired with the creamy, garlicky dip creates an indulgent yet balanced antipasti experience that invigorates the palate.
For a heartier main course, the Tray Wood Fired Grilled Chicken Thighs is nothing short of spectacular. The wood-fired method imparts an irresistible smoky flavor, sealing in the juiciness of the chicken, which is then complemented by fresh, seasonal vegetables and the same luscious homemade garlic yogurt sauce. Whether you opt for the sharing portion or the single serving, each bite is a comforting reminder of rustic Italian cooking done right.
Pizza lovers are in for a treat at Amare La Cucina Tagaytay. The 6 Cheese Pizza Grande, another bestseller, is a decadent masterpiece loaded with mozzarella, raclette, gorgonzola, goat cheese, cheddar, and parmigiano reggiano, all atop a crispy yet tender crust brushed with homemade blended plum tomato sauce and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Each slice delivers a harmonious medley of creamy, tangy, and sharp cheese flavors that melt perfectly, with a hint of oregano and basil adding aromatic depth. For those who prefer oceanic flavors, the Media Homemade Blended Plum Tomatoes Pizza with Mixed Seafood offers a fresh, vibrant taste, highlighting the subtle brininess of the sea paired with Italian herbs and silky mozzarella.
The atmosphere reflects the serene charm of Tagaytay itself: cozy yet sophisticated, providing guests with a luxurious feel that doesn’t overshadow a warm, inviting homey vibe. Whether you choose to dine indoors or al fresco, the experience is enhanced by the cool breeze and panoramic views of Taal Volcano, making it an idyllic spot for romantic dates, family lunches, or casual gatherings.
Regular patrons often commend the attentiveness of the staff, friendly and accommodating even when the place is bustling. This thoughtful service helps elevate every visit, ensuring that waiting times and ordering processes feel seamless. Guests have also enjoyed interactive moments, such as kids delighting in making their own pizzas—an engaging touch that adds to the overall charm.

Good food, better scenery We’re curious if this restaurant is any good, because its Metro Manila branches aren’t having good reviews, and fortunately enough we enjoyed dining here, while experiencing the cool breeze of Tagaytay. The best so far was the meatballs. I have to say, those were some of the tastier meatballs my palate had grazed upon. The sauce, the meat, and all the spices were damn great. I’ll definitely have those again when we go back. The pesto ala genovese was good and definitely freshly made. Definitely a quality complement to its butter toast bread. Their quattro-formaggi spinach pizza was good, but unfortunately not on par with Amici’s. The pie was soggy, and the undercarriage can’t handle the toppings, which made it a sloppy mess. For dessert, I had their Monte Gelati ice cream, and it’s really good and absolutely sweet. So, if you’re not a sweet tooth, you’d definitely won’t want this one. Overall, it was a nice dining experience. Good food plus a great view of Taal Lake. Who would not want that. But, oh, we went here during weekdays, so the place wasn’t jammed with people. I’m sure a weekend visit would be otherwise.

The view of the Taal Lake is nice from this restaurant. I would also commend the quality of food given that they bring out the best of natural flavors out. Refreshments are also quite good, while some I can say are uniquely flavoured. Whether you dine indoor or outdoor, it is quite enjoying and relaxing due to the luxurious feel yet gives people the sense of being at home when dining in.

We’ve always passed by this restaurant whenever we were in Tagaytay, but since we finished our appointment early, we decided to finally stop by and try their food. The reviews were spot on! Despite arriving during a busy time, the service was excellent. The food was so flavorful that it left us wanting more. The pizza was fantastic, made fresh to order, and of course, the must-try ice cream. The flavors are unique, sparking curiosity, and they definitely don’t disappoint.

Solid spot! The ambiance is cozy and relaxing — perfect for chill dates or family lunch with that Tagaytay vibe. The food? Sarap Super flavorful and the servings are really generous, sulit na sulit. Their wood-fired pizzas have that perfect smoky crust, and the pasta tastes fresh and authentically Italian — parang you're eating in a little trattoria. Plus, the staff are really friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely a must-try if you're craving good Italian comfort food with a great view and great vibes!

Everything was okay during our visit except for the ongoing renovation. Have a stunning view of Taal Volcano and very accommodating staff especially those who were making the pizza. My kids loved making their own pizza.

The food is excellent, and the pizza has great choices and the best taste and nice crust. It's not too thick and not too thin. The staff could be a bit more organized. Seating takes a while, and it's a bit hard to her the waiters' attention. Nevertheless, when staying at Splendido or Twin Lakes, it's a great place to dine, just walking distance.
